About the home

A retro RV parked in a private backyard, with an outdoor sauna, a cold plunge and a cowboy pool a few steps from the door. Inside there is a bed and a dining booth that converts for sleeping. Outside there is a hammock, a BBQ grill, a fire pit, lounge chairs and string lights. The yard is shared with the homeowner, who lives in the front home.

The space

Inside, the camper reads more like a tiny home than an RV. There is a comfortable bed, and the dining booth converts into a second sleeping area, so the camper takes up to 3 guests. A dinette works for meals or card games, a small kitchen handles simple cooking, and there is a private bathroom with a shower. A TV is there for movie nights in.

The backyard is where this one shines. The sauna, the cold plunge and the cowboy pool sit together, with a hammock for morning coffee, a BBQ grill and a fire pit for the end of the day. String lights and lounge chairs keep it comfortable after dark.

Guest access

The camper is private, and the backyard amenities are yours to use: sauna, cold plunge, cowboy pool, hammock, fire pit, BBQ grill and lounge areas. The yard is shared with the homeowner, who lives in the front home.

A few notes

The backyard and all of its amenities are shared with the homeowner, who lives in the front home. There is plenty of room, and we ask that you treat the shared spaces accordingly.

2 friendly dogs roam the yard, so please keep the gates closed for their safety.

Prior to arrival, you’ll receive a secure check-in link through our guest app, including a short-term rental agreement that outlines the rules and expectations already disclosed in this listing. Any questions? We’re happy to help.

The neighborhood

A backyard in East Austin.

The camper sits in a backyard in a fast-changing corner of East Austin. The streets around it are residential and laid back, and new restaurants, murals and community spaces keep turning up as the area fills in.

Austin's food, culture and music are within easy reach of the yard. Mornings in the sauna, evenings at the fire pit, and the city whenever you want it.

This space was perfect for our weekend in Austin. The camper was spotless with plenty of towels and everything we needed. The air conditioning worked great! The true gem is having access to the backyard oasis with the sauna, pool and cold plunge. We were happy to meet the owner and grateful for her willingness to give us all afternoon to relax in the yard.We would definitely recommend for two people!

Stayed here during SXSW and honestly it was such a perfect spot. The place is super spacious and just feels like a little oasis in the middle of everything. The backyard especially was amazing — really peaceful, quiet, and a great place to chill in the morning to get work done or relax. Couldn’t have asked for a better setup while being in Austin. Would definitely stay again.

This was a fabulous little place to stay for the weekend! While the camper is small, we spent the majority of our time exploring Austin. It was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed for small meals. The location was very close to all of the places we were looking to visit. We took our dog with us and were able to fit a crate inside too. The fire pit and pool were very cute!

The stay was great. Be aware that the property is on the flight path. There will be airplanes flying low at times.
