The space

Inside, the palette is quiet and the details are worked out. The wellness room holds a private indoor infrared sauna alongside its queen bed.

There are 4 bedrooms. The primary suite has a king bed. A second room has 2 twin beds pushed together into one large king. A third has a queen bed, and the wellness room has the fourth. Each queen bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Every room has a Smart TV.

The kitchen opens onto two outdoor dining areas and a grill. Coffee stations sit around the home, and Google Fiber handles streaming and remote work.

Outside, the hot tub sits under string lights, with a fire pit lounge and open-air dining beside it.

A few notes

This is a quiet residential neighborhood, so no parties, loud gatherings or disturbances. Keep noise at a reasonable level during the day, and after 9pm no sound should carry beyond the property line. That is a City of Austin rule and we enforce it.

No smoking anywhere on the property. Children need an adult with them at the hot tub.

    Great location & beautiful home. Communication with host was good. Only issues we had was A/C unit was leaking in the bedroom on the bed, the dishwasher when opened reeked of stench & old food smell we couldn’t even operate it & the house was hot. Overall a great location and easy check in and out process

    The Sunflower Haus was a great base for our group to explore East Austin. The house was modern and clean with all the amenities needed and only a few minutes away from the restaurants and bars on 6th and 7th St. I would gladly stay at the property again!

    The house was beautiful, very clean, and spacious with extra touches that made it feel luxurious. It accommodated our group of 6 very well and had everything we needed for a weekend stay.     John was an amazing host, the house was beautiful and exactly as described. I went with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed it. There was a small inconvenience that the bedroom I stayed in did not close all the way and wouldn’t lock but we were only there for two nights so just worked around it. The home was very spacious and super close to everything we did. They were flexible with our check out which was great and allowed us to check in early for a small fee. Felt safe and welcomed in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend booking with them!

    We had a problem with the lock. Our pin never worked

    However, the place is super cute, very homey, welcoming, spacious and honestly beautiful. I would book again, I’m sure the lock was just a technical hiccupp. Thankfully the side was open

    We loved everything the property offered! There ended up being only five of us, as part of our family and dog were not able to join us. But even so, the property would have accommodated all of us very nicely. We did not have time to enjoy the hot tub and other outdoor amenities, because this was a short visit mostly spent at UT, but it all looked amazing. The kitchen was well appointed, though we didn’t cook a single meal. The beds were super comfortable, neighborhood was quaint and neighbors were friendly! And the location was perfect for our needs; UT visit for our prospective teen, Museum of Natural History, Congress Bridge bat experience, Barton Springs/Zilker Park visit, fishing Lady Bird, shopping and excellent eating establishments like MoonShine Grill, Terry Black’s BBQ and the first Chuy’s Tex-Mex. We loved our stay!

    This Airbnb is spacious, comfortable, in a good location. We stayed here for 3 nights with 6 adults and 2 toddlers and it was just the perfect size and layout (private bedroom areas with common kitchen/living space). That said, I’m not sure it’s ideal for a long-term stay. The house seems to have been flipped quickly, so there are quirks and lower quality finishes and utensils/cutlery. Pretty sure it’s managed by a large company using agents, and they do ask you to sign a secondary agreement through Guesty, which we didn’t love (just seems shady).
    Overall, convenience, size, and cleanliness makes it a good short-term spot.

    I have a mixed review of this place. We stayed for a month. I picked the place for my family to stay in while they were visiting.

    The positives:
    - Owners were very responsive and nice.
    - The house was largely as advertised.

    The negatives:
    - We had cockroaches in the home. Many large cockroaches were seen around the house from the early part of the stay. However, we notified the owners and they promptly fumigated the house. There was an improvement but we still saw a few cockroaches.
    - The living room and dining area in the house are too small for the number of people that can occupy the house. Having said that, if it's nice out, there's ample outdoor space.
    - We tried everything to get the hot tub to work but couldn't figure it out. They came to service it and it didn't seem to work any better. It's possible that I was doing something wrong but I followed the instructions closely and tried every combination to get it to work.

    The place was definitely as pictured. Beautiful. It was very clean, and the design of the place inside was very unique. It felt like everyone was in their own world. Especially the two back rooms. We had one issue, that I don't care to disclose because I'm sure it will be rectified for the next guest. Overall I gave 4 stars because of the issue, but I really loved my stay. Thank you.

    Incredible spot! Such a quiet neighborhood and so comfortable! With kitchen that had every small appliance you could ever want! Great for a longer stay! The hot tub and sauna were incredible perks

1. CHECK IN /CHECK OUT - Check in time is 4:00 PM. Check out time is 11:00 AM. Unless otherwise authorized by the Host.

2. PARTIES AND EVENTS - We do not allow parties, loud gatherings or events of any sort to be held in the property. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we do not want any issues with our neighbors or the city. Any reports or evidence of a party or organized event taking place will lead to an immediate vacation of the property, without reimbursement.

3. NOISE - Please keep the noise level down after 10 p.m., in accordance with the city bylaws and to not disturb the neighbors.

4. BROKEN ITEMS - Please inform the Host of any damages or broken items that noticed upon your arrival. Furthermore, accidents happen and if something breaks during your stay, please inform us, in order for us to replace or repair it prior to a following Guest's stay.

5. NEIGHBORS - Guests must notify the Host of any complaints from neighbors as soon as possible.

6. PETS - We allow only 1 pet at a time at the property. Please clean up after your pets, in the house, backyard and front yard.

7. SMOKING - Smoking is not permitted inside the property. Any evidence of smoking in the property premises will incur an additional cleaning fee of $500.

8. VISITORS - Guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors must comply with the House Rules, and Guests will be held liable for any violation as if the violation was carried out by the Guests.

9. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING - Guests are to dispose of garbage and recycling into the allocated bins.

10. SECURITY - Guests must ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked every time they leave the property, and at the end of their stay. Failure to maintain the security of the property (locking doors and windows) will result in a $500 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages/theft that occur during their stay.

11. FIREWORKS - The use of fireworks anywhere on the property premises is strictly forbidden, subject to a a $1,000 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

12. PARKING – Guests may park in the driveway. Free street parking is also available.

13. SAUNA - To ensure a safe and relaxing experience for all guests:
- Swimsuits must be worn at all times—no nudity allowed
- Do not bring food, drinks, or personal items into the sauna
- Do not tamper with the sauna settings beyond basic use
- Limit your time inside and never use the sauna alone
- Sauna use is at your own risk—we are not responsible for injury from overuse or misuse
- Guests under 18 must be supervised by an adult
- Do not unplug, move, or alter the sauna in any way
- Guests are responsible for any damage to the sauna
- Please use the sauna responsibly and with care.

14. HOT TUB - The hot tub is for your relaxation, but please follow these guidelines:
• Remove and store the cover properly as outlined in the manual.
• Do not use the cover as a seat or table.
• Turn off all settings and close the cover securely after each use.
• No food, drinks, or glassware are allowed in the hot tub to prevent damage or injury.
• Guests will be held responsible for any misuse or damage to the hot tub.

15. BBQ GRILL - If you plan to use either BBQ, please only do so if you are familiar with propane gas. If you need help or guidance please call management. This is to ensure your safety. The BBQ is propane gas operated. We ask that Guests clean up the grill after each use, including pouring out the drip pan. Failure to do so may incur a grill cleaning fee of $100.

When finished using the grill, please ensure that the propane valve (for the grill with a propane tank) AND grill burners/knobs are shut off. Failure to do so may damage the property and Guests will be held liable for any damage that result.

16. FIRE PIT - Always remember to turn the propane tank off after each use.

17. REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS - Every attempt is made to maintain the property in the best of condition. The Host does not guarantee that appropriate repair and or replacement will be performed during the Guests' stay. It is the Guests' responsibility to immediately notify the Host of any issues with the property during their stay so that repairs and or replacement may be promptly taken care of to the best of the the Host's ability.

The Host is not responsible for any occurrences to which we have no immediate control. These inconveniences include but are not limited to: weather conditions, power outages, road conditions or breakage of non-essential appliances (including, but not limited to: dishwasher, grill, pool, washer and dryer)

*Please inform us if any of the equipment in the house is not operating correctly. We will make every reasonable effort to make repairs as quickly as possible.

18. TOILET - Do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. This can cause plumbing issues and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

Cancellation

Cancel 7 or more days before check-in for a full refund, less a 3% payment processing fee. Inside 7 days, the booking is non-refundable.
