A second-floor studio in its own building, up among the oaks. A Murphy bed folds away during the day to free up the floor, and French doors open onto a private balcony with treetop views. There is a retro kitchenette, a walk-in shower, and a washer and dryer for longer stays. Pets are welcome.

The space

The studio sits on the second floor, surrounded by tall oaks and open acreage. The layout is open, with high ceilings, natural light and treetop views from nearly every angle. A Murphy bed folds down at night and tucks away during the day, and a futon nearby adds a second sleeping spot, so the studio takes up to 3 guests.

The living area is mid-century in style, with a lounge chair and ottoman. French doors open onto the private balcony.

The kitchenette is retro-inspired and holds a mini-fridge, microwave, sink and coffee maker, along with dishes, utensils and basic condiments for simple meals. A dining table sits beside it. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead, stocked with towels and bath products. For longer stays there is a washer and dryer, plus high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating and a ceiling fan.

Outside, the courtyard has a picnic table and a seating area, lit by string lights after dark.

Guest access

The studio and its private balcony are yours, along with a private entrance and free on-site parking. The courtyard, with its picnic table and seating area, is shared with the main home, and the garage and the main home are not included.

The studio is tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood of acreage lots, winding streets and century-old oaks. It is peaceful enough to hear wind in the branches, and deer pass through the area.

Downtown Austin is a short drive, with live music venues, restaurants and landmarks like Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool. Drive west and you are in the Texas Hill Country, among wineries, breweries and scenic trails.

I wanted to take a moment to share our experience during our stay. The place was one of the most beautiful and relaxing Airbnbs we have had the pleasure of visiting. The unit was well equipped with all the basic essentials we needed, making our stay comfortable.
The location offered easy access to shops, restaurants, and freeways, which was incredibly convenient. What we loved most was how the unit is tucked away in nature, providing a peaceful and serene environment for relaxation.

I stayed here for 11 days and really enjoyed it. I had a last minute change when another Airbnb didn’t work out and they were really accommodating. The place is really cute and spacious. Loved watching the sunrise from the balcony. The neighborhood is so quiet and I loved going for walks. The location was great. The bathroom is small with only a tiny corner sink and no counter space, but I made it work. Would definitely stay here again!

We love this neighborhood. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to be in a safe and quiet neighborhood but drivable to all the things Austin has to offer. I had a wonderful 10-day stay at this beautiful garage apartment studio. The space is gorgeous with high ceilings, a cute and functional kitchen, a comfy bed, and a great lounging chair. It was a perfect zen place for yoga, reading, & writing. The surroundings are lovely and peaceful. It is a great private escape from the hectic city but still within earshot of it—now that the new highway is built, getting around is an absolute breeze. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!
